Richard Madley, one of the vital cog in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since its inception, expressed his gratitude for the Delhi Daredevils (DD) franchise for a gifting him a jersey.

Meanwhile, Madley had conducted all the auctions of the tournament hovering over the names of several cricketers from around the globe. In this edition of the IPL, he also visited the country to catch hold of a few matches.

The 62-year old Madley was present at the stands of Wankhede to watch Mumbai’s games. He also mentioned in an interview, that he is in India to see a few matches in Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi respectively.

He also attended the match between Delhi and the Rajasthan Royals at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. Madley, meanwhile, was in absolute delight after the game, as he got a team jersey from the Daredevils.

Humbled by gestures, he took to Twitter to thank the franchise. The auctioneer also mentioned the jersey would be up for an auction to raise funds.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings lifted the title in the eleventh edition of the league. They defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets at the Wankhede to script history.

Moreover, this edition was full of twist with many last-over finishes. Such was the excitement that the top-four were decided in the last week.
