The Board of Control for Cricket in Indian (BCCI) takes pride in the fact that the Indian Premier League (IPL), is one of the best Twenty20 leagues in the world and this latest incident in the United Kingdom (UK) simply attests to it.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defied all odds – to lift their third title after returning to the league after two years beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets at the Wankhede. Experienced all-rounder Shane Watson struck a brilliant unbeaten century to guide his team to the title.

Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu also provided good support playing a second hand to Watson. Watson remained unbeaten on 117 runs from 57 balls with the help of 11 boundaries and eight maximums.

Previously, Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Kane Williamson got Hyderabad to a good start after losing the early wicket of Shreevats Goswami. The pair added 51 before Dhawan departed, however, Williamson (47) continued his outstanding form.

Further, Yusuf Pathan played solid innings after he came to the crease at the score 101 for three. Pathan remained unbeaten on 45 runs from just 25 deliveries including four boundaries and two sixes, as Hyderabad finished on 178 at the loss of six wickets.

Chennai sailed their way to the target with nine balls to spare.

Lords fans enjoy IPL final:

Following the end of the first Test between England and Pakistan at the Lord’s, few fans remained seated at the venue as the organisers decided to broadcast the IPL’s grand finale on the giant screen.

In the video uploaded by a Times Journalist, the Lord’s can be seen converted into an ‘IPL Fan Park’, with spectators enjoying the telecast.

Lord’s are letting everyone stay to watch the IPL final,” the post read.

Meanwhile, Pakistan thrashed England to go 1-0 up in the two-match Test series.

The second Test will be beginning on June 1 at Headingley. The host will be desperate for a win to avoid their three consecutive Test series loss.
